As our ongoing awareness to our cause, for the month of October, The Grove City Cancer Thrift Shop will bring awareness to Breast Cancer.
The awareness ribbon color is Pink.
Facts on Breast Cancer:

Each year it is estimated that over 220,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
Although breast cancer in men is rare, an estimated 2,150 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
Early detection can help save lives. Mammography remains the most effective means available to detect cancer in its earliest stages. As well as mammograms, monthly self-exams remain an effective means to detect this type of cancer.

The volunteers at the Grove City Cancer Thrift Shop thank you for your continued support. As stated before, we are very dedicated to our partnership with the LifeCare Alliance Cancer Services. It is through our wonderful customer base that we are able to do what we do! When you stop in our shop, you will see that for the month of October, our white tags have been stamped with a PINK awareness ribbon.
